Demo Update 2!! Please read.

Hooray! Finally found a work flow that is somewhat stable!!
Here is a high quality and improved tutorial for Mudbox tools and another tutorial on creating stamps for Mudbox that we will use for Terrain. In addition to finding photos you can use this wonderful site called shaded relief archive that will provide you with a lot of images that are perfect for terrain stamps.

Create your heightmap based on your concept, create your stamps and start playing with Mudbox to get the first part of your terrain done. This will be due on Tuesday plus I want to see that you already started working on your model. We don't want to spend the second half of the semester modeling like we did in the first half. Let's start having fun painting textures!

Even if you watched the first somewhat terrible tutorial, I would suggest that you look through the new Mudbox tutorial because you can actually see the brush strokes as they happen so you might pick something up you missed the first time.

PLEASE ask questions!! Let me know if you are having issues.
All videos can be found on my youtube channel.

I will be posting another demo or 2 tomorrow on importing the heightmap into Mudbox
and using the stamps to create the terrain you want.
