ground textures WIP





made a bunch of dirt variations, i think i like the one on the left side of the 3rd row best. going to redo the grass, also did a more rocky texture, maybe mountain?
a couple of the dirt ones are tiling pretty bad, but i figure i should just put them up there anyways.
looking for feedback

  1. Those textures are looking pretty good. When you say you like the dirt in the 3rd row is that the one with the blue or not? I like the the one with the blue on the left. A great way to break up that tiling is to shift the blue and dark "Hershey kiss" pixels so they alternate and aren't in a straight row. I like it b/c of the color variation. For the texture that will be used on tall mountain walls I would like to look at it in Unreal b/c the shapes might be too small. You might need to make the individual pieces larger to look right.I know you are still working on it, but with the grass, it looks like you have a U shape when it comes to the darkest green and it's causing the tiling. You still need a bit more variation and moving of the pixels. Let's look at them in Unreal because looking at them in there will allow us to see patterns and size problems that we can't see from photoshop. As for the house part, I think we talked about it quite a bit today and you know what to fix with that for now.
