My Textures~

  1. Hi Jung,
It's a bit hard to give in depth feedback on these because they aren't being shown tiled over terrain and they are low resolution.
The first thing that I noticed is that the grass is blurry and lacking strong definition. I can't tell if it's short or long. It is closer to a hairy moss. You want to show length by adding more consistent highlights. The bottom center looks lighter and different than the rest so you need to watch out for that as well. Those are the kinds of things you will see better once you have them tiled over terrain or your eye is more trained. The second thing I noticed is that 2 of your textures are extremely saturated, your light dirt is very desaturated and the rock is in the middle. You are lacking consistency. When you are putting textures next to each other they need to be able to blend.

Your rock texture is having some issues with being sharp and blurry at the same time. There are dark black marks on the right side that are sticking out because it looks on top and not part of the texture. I can also see some of the thin seam and cross hairs from the stamp tool mostly on the left side. Take more time and work with smaller brushes. Sample from different parts of the texture and make sure that everything has the same level of sharpness.

The dirt texture looks the best and to give you further feedback (besides the saturation issue) I need to see it tiled.

The sand is lacking definition. What kind of sand is it? Right now it looks like hard dirt. Look at lots of reference photos to see what kind of sand you want and deconstruct it to see what makes that sand. The color, the grain, the shapes. What makes it soft or hard? I also see crosshairs and spots in this texture that need to be dealt with.

Where are the spec and bumps?
