Castle Concept
So I built this model in class last week. I'm still probably gonna add some details to the back portion but it's pretty much done.
I think I'm gonna try to do a wintery scene with it.
So texture wise I'm going to need
1. Rock (mountains)
2. Castle Texture (if that counts)
3. Ice (for the moat)
4. Mud (for under the, hopefully transparent ice)
5. Dirt (for the ground)
6. Lighter dirt (for dirt path)
7. Snow
8. Grass (possibly)
9. Grass covered snow (Possibly)
Also the above concpet is very, very basic I'm just not good at drawing interesting moutains, especially not for quick thumbnails o.O but once I get into mudbox with a little height map knowledge I should have something that looks good.

Hi Alex,
ReplyDeleteI like the winter idea, but I want to scale back the scene a bit. Start off with only texturing the outer walls and the ground textures. If you get everything done, then texture the castle last. I want you to perfect the ground textures and not have to worry as much about texturing the models and I think the wall will take less time.
Also, let's stick to 4 ground textures. Rock, Ice, Path and Snow.
